5th International Conference Separation and Drying Technologies for Milk, Whey and Vegan Sources; Cologne Anuga FoodTec

The international expert community will meet on 22 and 23 February 2027 at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne to discuss the latest developments in the separation of milk and whey components as well as vegan raw materials, and their subsequent drying.

Together with its cooperation partners DLG and Anuga FoodTec, this key industry event is currently being prepared. It will begin on the day before the official opening of the trade fair and will take place at the Congress Centre East on the Cologne exhibition grounds, bringing together researchers, practitioners and suppliers in one location.

The aim of the event is to provide participants with an up-to-date overview of technological progress in membrane and other separation technologies, as well as in drying technologies. The focus will be on developments and innovations that further enhance safety, efficiency and economic performance in production. The event takes place against the backdrop of a globally expanding market for milk powder and, in particular, for derivatives required to meet the growing demand for specific proteins.

In view of rising energy costs, suppliers across the food industry are increasingly focusing on process optimisation, resource reduction and improved energy efficiency. Accordingly, sustainable processes for the production of dried products – including those based on plant-based raw materials – will form a special area of emphasis.
